Bryant Kicks-off 2010 Cruise Ship Season = 4,447 jobs! Green!

This season, Seattle celebrates its 11th year in the cruise ship business by setting another record: 223 cruise ship calls and about 858,000 passengers. Each of those 223 ships leaves $1.9 million behind in our economy. That business should generate 4,447 jobs and $19 million in state and local taxes. The port’s Terminal 91 is one of only two cruise terminals with two “plugs-ins”, so that ships at berth may be connected to the electrical grid and not burn fuel, reducing air emissions.
